Wesley Koolhof will start the last year of his career in 2024. The Dutch top doubles player said this in the NL Tennis Podcast.

The 34-year-old Koolhof, who has won sixteen ATP doubles titles so far, won Wimbledon last summer with his British partner, Neal Skupski. He said goodbye to Skupski last month. In his last year as a professional, he hopes to continue his successes with Nikola Mektic.

‘Time for something different’

Koolhof explains: “It’s time for something different. Winning Wimbledon helped with that decision. I have achieved almost everything I wanted to achieve. Davis Cup and the Olympic Games are of course still on the programme. I hope to have a shot at the main prize there. I’m at peace with it. Next year I’m going to have another blast.”

Koolhof is in a relationship with the German Julia Görges, who ended her career three years ago.
