Man arrested for theft of iPhones worth 1.7 million euros

SCHIPHOL – A 64-year-old man was arrested in the Delft area (South Holland) last Wednesday for allegedly stealing iPhones worth 1.7 million euros at Schiphol. He was arrested after images were shown on the TV program Opsporing Verzocht on Tuesday, the Royal Military Police reported on Monday. It was said to be a truck driver who stole the load.

The suspect is said to have stolen the phones, iPhones 15 Pro Max, from a freight company at Schiphol during the night of October 28 to 29. According to the military police, the suspect identified himself at the freight company with false papers.

The man was brought before the examining magistrate last Friday and is still in custody for investigation, according to the military police.
