Explosion at a beauty salon in Woerden

WOERDEN – There was probably an explosion at a shop in Woerden in the night from Tuesday to Wednesday around 2 a.m. The facade of the building in Rijnstraat has been destroyed, the police report.

Someone who entered the building after the explosion suffered smoke inhalation and is being checked by ambulance personnel, a police spokeswoman said.

The police have launched an investigation and are calling on witnesses to come forward.
