Eindhoven Airport processed 6.8 million travelers last year. That was a record for the second airport in the country. Travelers mainly flew to the Spanish cities of Málaga and Alicante and to Stansted airport, near London.
The figures show that air traffic in Eindhoven has returned to pre-corona levels. In the last year before the pandemic, more than 6.7 million travelers flew through Brabant airport. Last year there were 95,000 more.
Compared to 2022, half a million more people flew to or from Eindhoven last year.
The number of flights was also large at 41,496. That number is just four flights below the annual maximum of 41,500.
