Supermarkets are recalling frozen spinach due to metal particles

Several supermarkets are removing frozen spinach from their shelves. Metal particles may have ended up in the spinach during production. The supermarkets advise customers to return the products to the supermarket and not to eat the spinach.

This concerns spinach from the house brands of Lidl, Albert Heijn and PLUS and the house brand G’woon. That brand is available in stores at Boon’s Market, Hoogvliet, Nettorama, Poiesz and Vomar.

At Lidl it concerns spinach cubes from the Freshona house brand, in a package of 800 grams with an expiration date of 02-2026. Albert Heijn is recalling AH Spinach finely chopped. This concerns a package of 450 grams with an expiration date of January 31, 2026.

PLUS is removing the Vriesvers spinach from the shelves in a package of 800 grams with an expiration date of 02-2026. The G’woon brand concerns spinach cubes in a package of 800 grams with an expiration date of 02-2026.
