After winning her fourth national title at the NK Sprint on Sunday, Jutta Leerdam proved she is a dominating figure in the Dutch speed skating space. Leerdam had a dominant performance during the last 1,000 meter race that was held at Thialf, and her prowess on the ice wasn’t in question.
Nonetheless, the focus shifted after the event towards Leerdam’s boyfriend, Jake Paul who was following the action from the stands. The American boxer and influencer went on a praise spree after the event claiming he was proud of Leerdam.
“It’s fantastic. I’m proud of Jutta; she did a great job,” Paul said. “She instills fear in her opponents and they surrender. I am happy for her, this year she has been tremendous.” Paul, who seemed to be feeling a wave of emotions while watching Leerdam race, recalls the moment vividly, “I get butterflies, my heart races, I get nervous. But I know she always does great work.”
Jake Paul Commends Leerdam For Her Hardwork
Paul also lauded Leerdam for her work ethics as he believes that is the main reason behind her success. “She puts in more effort than any other athlete,” he stated. Throughout the competition, Paul’s presence and energy in the stands became a highlight for respective fans and the global media.
The Sun celebrated the triumph and stated that ‘an overjoyed Leerdam basked in the glory of her success as she accepted the cheers from the audience which included The Problem Child [Paul’s nickname]. After the race, she was very close to Paul, as she kissed him passionately’.”
Moreover, The Daily Mail offered insight on that couple’s relationship, citing them looking together at the recent outings. “A month ago, Leerdam was seated in a ringside chair to support Paul in his match against legendary boxer Mike Tyson. This time, it was Paul cheering her up.”
A Birthday in the Spotlight
The weekend had even greater significance than that for Leerdam who had turned 26 on her birthday which was on Monday. She deserved every well-meaning praise and special gifts from her family friends, and fans to mark this occasion after what had been remarkable few days for the Dutch speed skating star.
