McLaren Provides Health Update After Driver Rushed to Medical Center in Mexico

McLaren has announced that IndyCar sensation and Mexican GP FP1 participant Pato O’Ward was taken to the medical center following his session.

Filling in for Lando Norris, O’Ward completed 30 laps in his first FP1 appearance since this race last year, finishing in 13th place.

However, the local favorite was taken to the circuit’s medical center without engaging in any sponsor or media activities, receiving prompt treatment before being released.

When asked to confirm whether O’Ward had received medical attention, a RacingNews365 representative received confirmation from a McLaren spokesperson.

“He was taken to the medical center for assessment after FP1, having reported feeling unwell,” the statement read.

“After assessment and a period of observation, he was then discharged back to the team.”

When inquired about whether he had experienced food poisoning, McLaren refrained from providing further details, stating, “We’re not going to go into any more detail than the above.”
