Multiple flights were diverted in northern Norway on Sunday after suspected drone activity near airports in Troms and Nordland, authorities and airlines said.
The airport in Troms was closed briefly because of the signaling. A flight from capital Oslo to Bardufoss airport in the northern province of Troms turned around, a spokesman for airline Norwegian told public broadcaster NRK.
Earlier Sunday there were reports of drones at Brønnøysund airport in Nordland province, and a flight there was also diverted.
It was unclear where the suspected drones came from. They had not been sighted further.
Drones were also spotted several times in Danish airspace last week.
Starting Monday, Denmark is hosting a European summit with government leaders who will discuss Ukraine, among other issues. As a precaution, Danes are not allowed to fly drones during the meeting.
