1 million and 200 thousand Lebanese have been driven from their homes as a result of the Israeli bombings, announced the Prime Minister of Lebanon, Najib Mikati.
Because of the growing humanitarian crisis, Mikati and the United Nations yesterday called for an urgent fundraising of more than 400 million dollars to help those in need.
The Israeli aviation continues to bombard the southern neighborhoods of Beirut today, where the Hezbollah group has entrenched. Fighting also continues in the southern outskirts of Lebanon. The Israelis assured that the operation aims to eliminate Hezbollah bases along the border.
However, residents of more than 20 villages north of the Awali River were warned today to evacuate. It flows 60 kilometers from the border.
The Hamas group claimed responsibility for yesterday’s terrorist attack in Tel Aviv, France Press reported.
