A fire broke out due to a short circuit in a Eurostar train traveling from Paris to Amsterdam. According to a spokesperson for the Rotterdam safety region, approximately two hundred passengers were evacuated in time. It remains unclear whether any passengers sustained injuries, the spokesperson added.
Train services were temporarily suspended between Rotterdam and Dordrecht, as well as on the high-speed line between Rotterdam and Breda. Additionally, there were fewer trains operating between The Hague and Rotterdam. Around 8:30 PM, the tracks were cleared, and NS announced that train services would resume around 9:00 PM.
