The police arrested six individuals suspected of involvement in a major cocaine pipeline from Curaçao to the Netherlands. This occurred in various locations during raids.
The police conducted searches in thirteen different locations, including Hengelo, Enschede, Vlaardingen, IJmuiden, Amsterdam, and Vreden (Germany). A specialized Defense search team and drug and money-detecting canines were deployed. There was equipment used to peer into the walls of homes and sheds.
The police will not comment on the amount of (possible) cocaine discovered. Other items may have also been confiscated. “If they find valuable and interesting items, the present detectives will ‘take them’ because they may have been purchased with criminal funds,” police said.
