Nationwide Frost Conditions End Temporarily, New Warning Issued for Tonight

Snow caused slippery roads early on Sunday in the western part of the country, with local accumulations of 1 to 2 centimeters reported. A yellow weather warning was issued nationwide due to the icy conditions, but this warning was lifted later in the morning.

Throughout Sunday, rain is expected in many areas. In the east, there may be wet snow, and the northeastern region could see several centimeters of snow, according to Weerplaza.

Due to the potential for snow accumulation, the KNMI has issued warnings about possible slippery conditions. In Flevoland, a yellow warning is in effect from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. In Friesland, Gelderland, and Overijssel, the warning will be in place from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, while in Groningen and Drenthe, it will last from 5:00 PM until midnight.

Temperatures are expected to rise in the evening, leading to a transition from snowfall to rain in the northeastern region, resulting in melting of the accumulated snow.
