Explosion at Tienhoven, police assume targeted action

This morning there was an explosion at a chalet house in Tienhoven, Utrecht. The police assert that they suspect a targeted attack.

Approximately 5:30 a.m., an explosion occurred at the house on the Maarsseveense Plassen. Images reveal that there is debris on the ground that may have been deposited there by the explosion. According to RTV Utrecht, the detectives confiscated these items.

Nobody was hurt during the explosion. It is currently unknown what type of explosives are involved.

Approximately 30 kilometers south of Tienhoven, in the village of Hoef en Haag, a house exploded last night. Additionally, the police assume a targeted attack. Uncertainty surrounds the possibility of a connection between the two cases.
