Six Explosions in Amsterdam-West

The majority of the explosions—six out of seven—were concentrated in the Amsterdam-West district. The first occurred at 19:55 on Jacques Veltmanstraat.

Later that night, four blasts followed in quick succession in the same area:

Approximately an hour later, at 3:10 a.m., another explosion occurred on Jan Zijvertszstraat, further adding to the night’s turmoil.

Incident in Amsterdam-Zuidoost

In addition to the incidents in Amsterdam-West, a separate explosion took place in Amsterdam-Zuidoost. At around 2:00 a.m., residents of Krulslaplantsoen were jolted awake by a loud blast.

Extensive Property Damage, No Injuries Reported

The explosions caused significant damage to the homes involved but, fortunately, no injuries have been reported.

Investigation Underway

Detectives are working to uncover the circumstances surrounding these events. A police spokesperson stated that it is too early to confirm whether the explosions are linked. Authorities are urging witnesses or anyone with information to come forward to aid the investigation.

The incidents have raised concerns among residents, as authorities continue to prioritize public safety while pursuing leads in the case.
