Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said today that the root of all problems in the West Asian region is the presence of the United States and some European countries, the Iranian news agency IRNA reported.
He made the comments in Tehran this morning while speaking to a group of Iranian elites and students. The root of the problems that give rise to conflicts, wars, anxiety and hostility is due to the presence of those who claim to stand for peace and tranquility in the region, namely the US and some European countries, he noted.
Ayatollah Khamenei also said that if they stop their evil practices in this region, undoubtedly these conflicts and confrontations will disappear completely and the countries of the region will be able to rule it and live together in peace and security.
According to him, the US and European countries are provoking countries in the region, which leads to difficult situations, giving the example of the late Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein.
Iran’s Supreme Leader expressed his condolences over the agonizing death of Hezbollah leader in Lebanon Hassan Nasrallah, saying the loss is a great event that is deeply felt.
Ayatollah Khamenei added that he would soon comment on the situation in Lebanon.
The Supreme Leader of Iran also emphasized that the presence of an elite and the factors that contribute to paving the way to it are among the most important assets of the Islamic State, stating that the main factor in creating an elite is intelligence, and Iran is one of the leading countries in the world in this regard.
Ayatollah Khamenei also stated that attention to the elite and the development of talents were completely neglected before the victory of the Islamic Revolution, adding that after that the Islamic Republic gave importance to the various abilities of the elite.
He believes that the preservation and growth of the elite and the prevention of its emigration in pursuit of baseless desires depends on the sense of influence and effectiveness of the elite for the country.
