The body of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah has been recovered from the site of an Israeli airstrike in the southern suburbs of Beirut, a security source told Reuters.
There were no visible wounds on Nasrallah’s body and the probable cause of his death was internal trauma from the force of the blast, the source added.
Hezbollah’s statement yesterday, which confirmed Nasrallah’s death, did not specify exactly how he was killed or when his funeral would be, but the two sources told the agency that his body had no direct injuries and that the cause of death appeared to be blast wave trauma.
