After making his summer debut as creative director of Valentino with a limited edition cruise line, designer Alessandro Michele presented his first show with a ready-to-wear collection for the Italian brand.
It was one of the most anticipated events of the Fashion Week, writes WWD, and in the audience were many celebrities with whom he has worked for several years – from Elton John and Harry Styles to Florence Welch and Jared Leto.
Everyone was looking forward to seeing how the former creative director of Gucci would interpret the legacy of the other legendary Italian house founded in 1960 by Valentino Garavani and Giancarlo Giametti, especially after the mark that Pierpaolo Piccioli left on it.
