Legendary Formula 1 driver Michael Schumacher has made his first public appearance since the serious accident he suffered at the end of 2013. The seven-time world champion was among the guests at his daughter Gina-Maria’s wedding on Saturday, Spanish media reported.
The celebration took place at the family’s luxury villa in Majorca, and there was strict control so that Schumacher was not allowed to be photographed – all guests’ phones were put away at the entrance. Among the guests was Michael’s brother Ralph, together with his partner Etienne Bousquet-Cassan, who posted on social networks: “We had a great time in Mallorca, the sunsets and the atmosphere were magical.”
It is Michael Schumacher’s first public appearance in 11 years, but his condition remains shrouded in mystery. On December 29, 2013, in a severe skiing accident in Meribel, Michael Schumacher hit his head and fell into a coma. Although his family has not released any information on his condition, he is known to be awake but unresponsive.
Schumacher’s seven F1 titles is a record equaled in 2020 by Lewis Hamilton. The German recorded 91 Grand Prix victories, second only to Hamilton, who had 103 victories.
