Legal documents obtained by Fox News Digital state that both Mariah and Morgan must testify in the case by January 31, 2025. The order was filed on August 27, three days after the Carey family suffered a devastating loss. Both mother Patricia and sister Alison passed away on the same day.
Morgan launched a defamation lawsuit against his sister in 2021, alleging that claims the singer made about him in her book The Meaning of Mariah Carey are “false, defamatory and hurtful.” He claims his sister’s words have caused “serious harm” to his reputation. Morgan is seeking damages. The amount is unknown.
