Brazilian influencer Fernanda Silva has died in Paris, where she lived, after being run over by a car during her morning run in the French capital.
The 31-year-old woman was crossing a pedestrian path when she was swept away by the car that hit her. An emergency team arrived at the scene of the accident, but she had already died as a result of the strong impact and the craniocerebral trauma she received.
The driver was arrested a little later by the police. His alcohol and drug tests came back negative, but he will still be tried for manslaughter.
The moment Silva was hit, her husband immediately received a notification on his smartwatch that his wife had been in an accident and was told to call her. When she didn’t answer his call, he went to the scene of the accident, guided by the app’s GPS.
“She died doing what she loved most – running,” her family said on social media.
