Belgian and Ecuadorian authorities arrested 12 people in Ecuador during a multi-phase operation supported by Europol, officials said.
Belgian law enforcement, together with the Ecuadorian National Police, carried out two waves of arrests and seized more than 9.3 tonnes of cocaine over the course of the investigation, Europol said.
Operation outcomes
Europol said the multi-phase operation it supported led to 26 arrests across several countries.
Officials provided no further details on the identities of those arrested or the locations of the other arrests.
