NS starts new Amsterdam-Brussels train service in December

The NS and the Belgian carrier NMBS are starting a new train service from Amsterdam to Brussels. The so-called EuroCity Direct will run sixteen times a day between the two cities from 15 December.

The train will stop at Schiphol, Rotterdam and Antwerp en route and the journey will take just over two hours. According to the NS, the first train will then depart from Amsterdam-Zuid every morning at around 6:00. After that, a Eurocity Direct will depart every hour.

A single ticket Amsterdam-Brussels can be booked from 25 euros. Prices vary between 25 euros and 64.10 euros for second class, depending on the time of booking and the desired degree of flexibility.

Between October and December, NS will test the connection to Brussels with the fast train. Travelers who have booked a trip to the Belgian capital in the coming period will be given the opportunity to go on a test ride.
