Defense and VDL announced in March this year that they were joining forces for the production of defense-related equipment in Born. This is the first concrete implementation of this.
According to a VDL spokesman, this is only the beginning and it is therefore difficult to estimate how many jobs it will ultimately generate.
The first three parties whose production is going to Born are DeltaQuad (drones), Tulip Tech (for batteries) and Milrem Robotics for army vehicles (shown in the photo).
