BMW Recalls Thousands of Vehicles in the Netherlands Due to Fire Hazard

“When replacing the air conditioning interior filter, there is a possibility that adjacent cables may become damaged,” stated a spokesperson. “Damaged cables can lead to both malfunctions in the air conditioning system and short circuits.”

On Friday, BMW announced the recall of hundreds of thousands of vehicles worldwide. This recall affects cars manufactured between June 9, 2022, and December 5, 2025. According to the German manufacturer, this is a precautionary measure, and no incidents have been reported.

Several weeks ago, BMW also recalled hundreds of thousands of vehicles due to fire hazards. In the Netherlands, this involved 5,500 cars from models produced between July 2020 and July 2022.
