Geothermal Netherlands chooses Janine Verweij as their new director

Geothermie Nederland – ”the joint geothermal energy sector representation in the Netherlands” has chosen Janine Verweij as their newest director of the organization.

Due to Verweij’s experience with sector organizations, Geothermie Nederland thinks of her as the adequate woman for the adequate place.

Previously, Verweij has been working as a manager of Energie Nederland, and she has also worked for Techniek Nederland. She was chosen unanimously by the board committee, since they all agreed that Verweij had strong intentions for matters at the configuration of business and government. Additionally, she will get to work with Hans Bolscher – new chairman of the board, as well as the office and members staff. Their job is to work on speeding up the geothermal energy.

Verweij’s objectives is to further strengthen the position of the geothermal energy within the durable energy transformation. ”I see a promising future for this inexhaustible sustainable heat source. Together with the 80 members and the knowledge partners of the trade association, I would like to get to work to utilize the full potential of geothermal energy.” stated Verweij.

Operator association DAGO and Platform Geothermie and the two platforms which set up Geothermie Nederland, in the beginning of 2021.

Janine Verweij had many compliments in regards to her new position, one of them being from ThinkGeoEnergy who wish her the best of luck. Apart from this, they also look forward to continue with the exceptional work in association with the Dutch geothermal sector.
