Communikit – First Mobile App to help Progressive First Nations Communications

Communikit is the first mobile app designed for the intricate and advanced needs of progressive First Nations. The app has now reached an immense amount of clients thus marking this as Canada’s 20th First Nation community signs upon its usage.

Alberta-based mobile app developers Aivia Design & Technology Engineering are the designers of the app. Communikit was designed to assist First Nations to fill in gaps in their communications plans. The developers have asked the First Nations’ users to speak of the way in which a mobile app could be used as a productive template in solving problems like disintegrated communications channels, a shortage of read message verification as well as stop user problems when getting information.

Communikit serves as a great user-friendly toolkit due to its features that include the capacity to post condemning information like news, events, acquiring signature consent for PDF documents through the app and to post surveys and collect answers directly via the app.

What makes Communikit stand out?

Communikit includes a push notification setting which means that the information is instantly received by users’ mobile devices. Moreover, it also includes a setting that has a special message verification feature used to inform the administrators that the communications have both been sent and received.

What are the benefits of Communikit?

Communikit has many benefits. The biggest benefit is perhaps the ability to be a one communications channel for all users, despite their locations. According to Statistics Canada, since 2011 the users of First Nations, more than a third live on a reserve while others live across non-reserve places. Its users – no matter if they live in on or off reserve places, can stay updated with job opportunities, deadlines, health consultants or events no matter the location.

Because of the pandemic, online communication has become very important. This is why, Communikit’s aim was to make a difference in everyone’s lives through their quick delivery of information to everyone who uses a mobile device.

Due to its huge success, Aivia is planning on launching a big upgrade to the Communikit app by the summer of 2021. From this new platform, users can expect a brand new renovated administration board and many user experience advancements.
