Ethereum hits new record, with price topping $3,000 for first time

Ethereum has again hit an all-time high. The second cryptocurrency after Bitcoin reached a value of $ 3,017 (2,510 euros) on Monday morning. An increase of 300% compared to the start of the year.

One of the main reasons for the price spike could be the announcement by the European Investment Bank (EIB) who is considering launching a digital bond sale on the Ethereum blockchain network.

At the end of February, the ether reached for the first time more than 2,000 dollars (1,663 euros). After a slight drop, its price continued to climb to reach a record high again.

The price of bitcoin was this Monday morning at more than 58,000 dollars (more than 48,000 euros).
