Greek authorities attempted to burn migrants according to Turkish Minister

Turkish Minister of Interior Suleyman Soylu posted a video on Twitter claiming that Greek security forces seek to burn people, pouring gasoline on them.

He wrote in a description of the video that Greek police were spraying gasoline on migrants, who were not reported to have tried to set them on fire. He says this is a massacre that is happening under the care of Europe.

“Europe shall go down history as instigator of this malignancy, by spoiling Greece and keeping silent to what’s going on there” Soylu wrote on Twitter, “tagging” the European Commission

The Turkish Coast Guard Command stated that they were patrolling the waters not far from Cese in Izmir when they noticed an illegal migrant ship on the Greek side being pushed back into Turkish territorial waters.

They said they rescued 41 migrants by transferring them to the port of Cesme in Turkey, and that there was a burn on the leg of one of them.
