Dutch Police officer dies after being struck by a car

A 28-year-old police officer passed away due to wounds he suffered Saturday night when he was hit by a car. The accident left another female officer wounded, along with the driver of the car.

The event happened minutes before 11 p.m. at A270 near Nuenen, Noord-Brabant. Both of the police officers were standing outside of their own automobile when got hit by the car. The source of the incident was still under examination Sunday morning.

“It wasn’t vibrant instantly why the officers were exterior of their group car,” said to Omroep Brabant. Images of the scene disclosed a dark tinted Seat with front-end dented, and a police squad vehicle with lesser scratches on the driver’s side.

In no time, Ambulances were sent to the place of the incident along with a shock-dealing agent in a helicopter. All three hurt people were taken to a local hospital.

At about 3 a.m., police announced the death of the male officer. “His relatives were informed. We hope they manage to keep themselves strengthened,” police published on social media.

His female associate and the driver involved in the hit didn’t suffer serious wounds.

The Oost-Brabant police department said that a team, of traffic accident experts, from the Limburg police, were scrutinizing the scene to ensure freedom and impartiality, police stated.
