Isabella Thallas was killed a few days after her 21st birthday. She was out with her dog when the offender shot her out of the window.
21-year-old Isabella Thallas was shot dead in Denver on Wednesday. She was on a walk with her dog and partner Darian Simon. As the Denver Post writes, the man opened fire on the young couple because of dog droppings. When the dog owner instructed his four-legged friend to finally do his business, the question came up from a window on a lower floor as to whether they would train the dog or just shout at it.
Darian told the police that he tried to ignore the voice, but then saw the man in the apartment point a gun at him. At first, he thought it was an air rifle. But suddenly the first shots were fired.
Perpetrator has no criminal record
While Simon was hit by two bullets but survived, all help came too late for Thallas. She had only celebrated her 21st birthday last week. She died on the spot. Her mother posted an emotional statement on Facebook. She writes: «We lost a daughter, a sister, a granddaughter, a niece, and a friend. God has called her and now she is at peace with him. We thank you for the prayers and support in this difficult time. »
The alleged perpetrator Michael Close was asked by the police shortly afterward. There were a rifle and a handgun on the floor near the passenger seat. The 36-year-old is said to have no criminal record in the state of Colorado. He is brought before the court on Thursday on suspicion of intentional killing.
